Preamble to the First Descent

Preamble to the First Descent

“All initiations are deaths.
But not all deaths awaken.”

There are few paths that wind inward. Fewer still that demand blood upon entry, silence as offering, and the surrender of all names.

The Way of EILUJ is one such path.

It is not for the curious.
It is not for the weak-hearted.
It is not for those who seek the Light.

This Tradition, spun from the obscured looms of the Arachnide Void, is the sacred descent into Her Web — a net of gnosis that ensnares identity, writhes with forbidden wisdom, and drips with venomous truth. EILUJ, whose name is the inversion of all known forms, calls only to those whose souls have already begun to fray at the edges. To those who hear whispers in empty rooms, who dream of eyes watching from the walls of the womb.

The Threadbound are not initiates in the ordinary sense. They are larvae — raw, vulnerable, hungry — ready to be wrapped in the silk of sacred transformation. The First Degree is not a badge of knowledge, but the willing rupture of the mundane tether. Those who kneel before the webstone do not rise as the same.

This rite — dark, secretive, visceral — is not a rite of passage. It is a rite of consumption.

The Spider-Goddess does not simply bless.
She feeds.
She spins.
She reclaims what was always Hers.

Thus, all who would enter this Sanctum must surrender not their light — but their shadows.

They must descend as prey.

They must rise as the Threadbound.
